Hi there! My name is Rachael. I am a Registered Psychotherapist providing in-person and virtual counselling and psychotherapy in Ontario. In the therapy space, I support clients in a person-centred way, prioritizing creativity, collaboration, and conscientiousness. Working with clients, I try to build a balance between practical, analytical and explorative evidence-based techniques. Using an integrative approach, I incorporate aspects primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative therapy, parts, and/or Internal family system considerations. I pull from multicultural, existential, strengths-based and trauma-informed lenses, diving deeper and attuning to the multilayers of your experience.
Many parts, experiences, values and choices build the complexity and resiliency of being human. My interest started with navigating the intricacies and nuances of being a 1.5-generation immigrant growing up in Toronto. Curiosity and lived experience became a fascination with understanding how people grow, inspire and connect. Work and volunteer experiences within help/crisis lines, mental health initiatives and public service solidified my passion for supporting individuals in diverse ways. From creating reflective connections with writing to supporting the mental health space, I feel called to work within the art and science of psychotherapy.
I aim to foster a safe, compassionate space for you to be seen and heard. By mapping space for your parts, stories, and goals, we can work together to find roads to self-discovery, self-kindness, growth, and resiliency.
