Hello! I am a registered social worker and psychotherapist with experience working in hospitals, education settings, and community mental health. My curiosity and interest in identity, community, and the human condition is what led me to pursue social work after many years of working in community development. Having had the privilege to meet with people from all walks of life, I’ve learned that we all want to feel connected, understood, and accepted for who we are. I believe in creating a space for my clients to slow down and acknowledge their innermost feelings and needs, reflect on life's challenges, and be honest about what they are going through.

Engaging in therapy requires presence, vulnerability and trust, which can feel scary or uncomfortable. It also requires courage and openness, which I believe you have. Even when you don’t feel like your best self, I will see the best in you, and support you with processing what’s really going on.

In sessions, we will talk about different parts of your life to uncover any patterns, and set focused goals and areas for growth. With time, and these goals in mind, we will work together to move you towards greater insight, change, and healing.

My approach is respectful, non-judgmental, kind, and focused on your strengths. I integrate a variety of therapy modalities, though I tend to draw most from emotion-focused, narrative, and body-based approaches. I provide reflections, as well as introduce you to new coping skills and resources to help you feel accomplished and gain more self-compassion and confidence.

“What a LIBERATION to realize that the “voice in my head” is not who I am. Who am I then? The one who SEES that.”
